Dear Srishtians,
Statistically, we are faring better than our previous
generations in several ways. We have higher academic
degrees and more information about the world. Better
health facilities are available to us. We earn more
money. Nevertheless, many of us feel that our predecessors
led happier lives. They had more free time and closer
ties with friends and family. They seem to have had
much better control over their lives, and fewer tensions.
On a seemingly smoother road
of life, why are we straining to pull on?
The reason is simple. Our lives today depend on dozens
of institutions and individuals whom we do not really
know. We have little knowledge or control over how our
children get educated, how much things cost, and our
own neighborhoods. The number of decisions to make and
situations to handle in day-to-day lives has increased.
As a result, we have less free time for our families
and ourselves. Hectic lifestyles breed tension, narrow-mindedness,
and reduced sensitivity.
How do we improve this situation?
The secret of improvement lies in that magic word, Unity.
We need to first realize that we all need similar kinds
of things, and that the progress of our fellow-families
is closely related to our own progress. When multiple
families get together with a strong commitment to prosper,
with mutual affection, even the toughest difficulties
will dissipate into thin air. With the support of the
combine, each of us can lead a more fulfilling life,
saving time, money and troubles.
Unity is the powerful central
idea of Srishti.
No problem is too big before the gigantic, united will
of Srishti. Our aim is to build the ideal society --
a society where every family realizes its complete potential,
where every member is successful and happy. In Srishti,
people are never isolated, differentiated or disadvantaged.
Every family that sincerely aspires to improve can,
and should, be part of Srishti.
In short, Srishti is nothing but the sum of all aspirations,
faiths, dreams and determinations of its members. It
continually imbibes good things from each member family,
aggregates and disseminates these qualities, encouraging
positive growth in everyone.
